AUSTRALIA: This winter, explore a new city with our Winter Bucket list series in Sydney. Find the best views in town, fun festivals, local foodie favourites and one of a kind adventures.

    Brunch at Bills

Relax at this urban beach house serving up Bills' signature ricotta hotcakes complete with honeycomb and banana. This is the perfect place for a long, relaxed brunch after an early morning beach walk or ocean swim, and the brekkie menu is served until midday. You will also get 15% off on your dinner bill when you stay at Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach this winter*.

Take a food tour of Bankstown

Bankstown is the epitome of a multicultural foodie hub, with influences from Asia, Europe and the Middle East all on show. From spice emporiums to tiny takeaways, this south-west suburb is full of flavour and culture. Plus, it's home to Sydney's best Pho to help warm you up in winter!

    Sunset at the Opera House

No trip would be complete without a visit to the Sydney Opera House at sunset, so if time allows, head back to Circular Quay, grab a gelato from Gelatissimo (try the affogato flavour for a late afternoon pick-me-up), and enjoy spectacular views of the harbour as the sun goes down.

    Coffee in a bookstore

Tucked away on a side street behind the Bondi ‘strip’ (the stretch of shops located along Campbell Parade, opposite the beach) sits the charismatic bookstore Gertrude and Alice. A bohemian hideout amid the glamour of the beach, this shop sells both new and second-hand books and is also an atmospheric café complete with antique furniture.

    Eat a Mary's Burger

Mention ‘fried chicken’ to any Sydneysider and one of the recommendations will undoubtedly be Mary’s. The cheeseburgers are first-rate, but the fried chicken and creamy mash are definitely worth shouting about.

    Art after dark

Sydney is full of great galleries and museums and the MCA has regular exhibitions and events held after 5pm. Listen to talks, take tours, and watch performances from local and international talent plus grab a drink from the rooftop bar and take in the stunning views. Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Town Hall is the perfect base to explore Sydney's best night spot.

    Walk along the coastline

Firstly, take some time to soak up the winter sun at Bondi Beach. Then go for one of the most pleasant and picturesque walks Sydney has to offer, the coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee.

    Skating at Cathedral Square

A pop-up ice skating rink will be perched in front of iconic St Mary's Cathedral this winter alongside delicious food and drink stalls. Skate until your heart's content day or night. It's fun for all ages. Find out more about this event here.
