TFE Hotels has announced some amazing additions over the next five years. With three new hotels opening in Sydney alone, TFE Hotels has grand plans for the Australian and European market.
GERMANY: The city of Cologne is one of the most important business hubs in Germany - internationally known for its world-class trade fairs which attract more than 3 million visitors per annum. The 171-key, seven-storey Adina Hotel Cologne – a joint venture by ECE and Strabag and owned by Deutsche Bank, is conveniently located directly between the Cologne trade fair - with its huge conference centre - and the train station Messe/ Deutz and is due to open later this year.
Featuring a mix of studios and self-contained apartments, the Adina Cologne features two light-filled conference spaces suitable for medium-sized meetings and events and two spacious outdoor terraces. A wellness area, heated pool fitness room and amenities round out the amenities whilst the hotel’s public restaurant and bar area are accessible via separate entrance the trade fair’s south entrance.
AUSTRIA: TFE Hotels, the Australian-based market leader in high-quality apartment-style hotels in continental Europe, has announced its flagship Adina brand will debut in Austria later this year. One of only seven hotels to offer a swimming pool in the historic Austrian capital, the Adina Apartment Hotel Vienna Belvedere – developed by SIGNA Real Estate Management GmbH, will literally make a splash in Vienna’s ultra-modern Quartier Belvedere when it opens at the end of 2020, completed with a heated indoor pool and sauna.
The 134-key apartment and studio-style hotel is perfectly positioned to offer both business and leisure travellers an easy entrée into the historic city centre and the cultural monuments of the Habsburg Dynasty, including the nearby Belvedere Palace, Schweizergarten and Belvedere Museum. Vienna’s main train station close by, offering direction connections to the international airport, and a tram stop directly in front of the hotel allows ease of access.
The ground floor of the hotel will feature public areas with ample natural light, including a lobby, bar, small shop and wellness area with a fitness room, sauna and swimming pool. Business travellers will also have the option to access a lounge connected to a terrace for intimate meetings and events.
GERMANY: An exciting new flagship property for the redeveloped Werksviertel quarter – a 24-storey hotel tower featuring 234 studios and apartments – is under construction on the site of a former potato silo in Munich. On completion, it will be the highest hotel in the city, an architectural milestone, a striking landmark and a multifunctional building in the heart of the Central Haidhausen neighbourhood.
The composition of the WERK4 building is already unprecedented. The existing potato silo building - a part of the old Pfanni potato dumpling plant - is integrated into the overall design and the new building on top of the silo will be over 86 metres high. The multifunctional utilisation concept of WERK4 is typical for the whole redevelopment area, Werksviertel, however the combination of a four-star hotel built on top of a climbing hall in a former silo is unique.
Developer Werner Eckart and Architects Steidle Architekten say the building’s unique design will ensure it attracts a diverse stream of visitors. It is expected that more than 1,000 people - including business people, concert hall guests and tourists from all over the world.- will explore Munich from WERK4 every day. AFK design studio, of Melbourne and London, have designed the generous yet cosy rooms - all of which have city or alpine views. And, in a TFE Hotels’ first, some rooms will even have views of the flock of sheep grazing on the rooftop of neighbouring businesses. Designer Michaelis Boyd‘s for the public areas is a space filled with high-end timber, marble, terrazzo, soft fabric and leather to compliment the raw concrete columns and steel façade.
GERMANY: NORSK, the owner and developer of the brand-new Adina Apartment Hotel Wiesbaden, is transforming the northern end of the boulevard Wilhelmstraße into a mixed-use ensemble featuring more than 100 residential apartments and over 20,000 sqm of commercial and retail space. The 127-key brand-new Adina Hotel will service both corporate and leisure markets well with lifestyle features including a range of self-contained apartments and studios, a rooftop bar, as well as the wellness area with fitness room, pool, sauna and experience shower. An adjacent restaurant offers a range of meal options for guests not wanting to take advantage of the in-room kitchen.
NORSK is also spearheading the redesign of Wiesbaden’s Quartier Kureck in the immediate vicinity of the Kurhaus and Wiesbaden Casino. The hotel will open in Q4 2021.
GERMANY: The 201-room Adina Apartment Hotel Dusseldorf, designed and built by developer GBI Objekt 36 GmbH & Co. KG, will open in the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia - Germany’s second largest centre of banking and a major economic hub – in Q4 next year. Conference and business groups will be able to take full advantage of the hotel’s conference centre and open-plan co-working space while the leisure market will be equally well serviced through the hotel’s amenities (heated pool, spa and sauna) and the nearby exclusive shopping mile, Königsalle, with its art galleries and exhibitions.
GBI AG is spearheading the development of the 17,000 square metre precinct – on the site of the former car loading station of the German National Railway - which also includes a restaurant and undercover car park for added convenience.
AUSTRALIA: Australia’s historic Pentridge Prison site will become one of Australia’s most sought-after and talked about destinations, when Shayher Group develops the site into a lifestyle precinct, complete with a hotel, residential apartments, shopping, dining outlets and an outdoor cinema.
The 110-apartment hotel added to the former Division B section will offer guests the chance to stay in a historic converted prison cell, but with all the modern comforts of a hotel. Just 8km from Melbourne CBD in Coburg, the project aims to seamlessly blend contemporary architectural design with the building’s distinct and remarkable heritage, including adding a function centre to the prison’s former chapel with its beautiful high lead-light windows, making it ideal for weddings or business events. Designers of the project, Cox Architecture, are renowned for their work on delicate heritage projects including the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa redevelopment near Daylesford in Victoria.
Part of the rapidly developing Quartier de L’Étang development, the Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva will debut in Switzerland with 140 spacious one and two-bedroom and studio apartment-style hotel rooms, many with views to the alps. Set within an 11-hectare lifestyle precinct – currently the largest private real estate investment in Switzerland – the Adina Hotel will offer a variety of on-site leisure and service offerings as well as a bustling retail precinct.
The hotel’s developer, PG Promotors SA and owner Claude Berda, is committed to converting the Quartier de L‘Étang into a new, mixed-use district. Retail spaces, administrative offices, a medical centre, student residences, a conference centre and three hotels will be established.
The precinct is ideally situated on the transport axis between the airport, exhibition centre and Geneva’s city centre, making it incredibly attractive to visitors while the Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva will act as a gateway to this new urban quarter. GERMANY: Located in the new Europaviertel lifestyle precinct, the brand new twenty-storey Adina Apartment Hotel Stuttgart is part of the wider Stuttgart 21 precinct, currently being constructed by developer, Strabag. This precinct is also close to Central Station and the extensive Schlossgarten and the popular Milaneo shopping mall.
